BURNAWAY proudly presents a public talk by Rainey Knudson, the founder of Glasstire, the online magazine about visual art in Texas.

Promising to be an engaging and informative talk about her reasons for founding Glasstire in Houston 15 years ago, Knudson will discuss how Glasstire has changed over the years and the challenges and rewards of regional art criticism. What role does art writing–particularly negative criticism–play in cities like Houston and Atlanta? And how can an online magazine help sustain a city’s art scene?
