ART PAPERS LIVE presents David Humphrey & Jeremy Sigler: In Conversation
Wed, Feb 26, 7-8:30pm

David Humphrey and Jeremy Sigler join ART PAPERS LIVE to discuss their work as both artists and writers, addressing how a textual practice can (or can’t) inform a visual one – and vice versa – as well as the productive spaces in between these media.

David Humphrey, based in New York, is an artist represented by Fredericks & Freiser Gallery, NY, and Marcia Wood Gallery, Atlanta. An anthology of his art writing, Blind Handshake (2009), was published by Periscope Publishing and is distributed by Prestel.

Jeremy Sigler is a poet living in Brooklyn, and raised in Baltimore; he has also lectured in sculpture at the Yale University School of Art. He has two new books forthcoming: Crossed Out Title (The Kingsboro Press), and Pleasure! (Dashwood Books). Sigler was recently director of publications at Dia Art Foundation, where he edited a monograph on the sculptor and poet Carl Andre, co-published by Dia Publications and Yale University Press. This book is due out in spring, 2014.

This edition of ART PAPERS LIVE is hosted by Atlanta Contemporary Art Center.
