This short film from Berlin-based artist Loretta Fahrenholz captures a performance series by artist collective Grand Openings that debuted at MoMA in 2011. Since graduating from the Academy of Visual Arts in Leipzig in 2007, Fahrenholz has become known for work that pairs an old-school documentary style with contemporary technologies that allow image manipulation. She puts her camera in live social circumstances and institutional contexts, documenting what takes places to create reconstructed records of “real” events.
