Atlanta Contemporary, located in the city's historic Westside corridor, is one of the premier contemporary art organizations in the Southeast. Built in the 1920s, our campus features a 30,000 square-foot former industrial warehouse with spacious and flexible event spaces and plenty of convenient parking. An urban pavilion, light-filled lobby, and lecture hall greet guests, who are mere steps away from our galleries and special exhibitions—an artful complement to your event.

The Venue
Indoor Spaces
Lobby + Lecture Hall + Resource Room
The lobby features contemporary design, large glass windows, built in bar, and access to Atlanta Contemporary’s gallery exhibitions. The lobby and lecture hall accommodates up to 400 for cocktails or 200 for seated events.

Lecture Hall
Semi-private space with flexible seating arrangements an ideal setting for functions of all kinds, including digital screenings, panel discussions, lunch & learns and live performances. The theater can seat 100 with our stage. Daytime rentals available during open to the public hours for up to 75 guests.

Outdoor Spaces
Outdoor Pavilion
This large, rustic, open space is perfect for outdoor events. Located at Atlanta Contemporary’s main entrance, this flexible area is easily accessed from any part of the interior facility. Accommodates 500 standing, 400 cocktail, 350 seated (no dance floor); includes electricity and interior space.

Studio Artist Courtyard
Perfect outdoor location for small receptions and is a nice companion to Atlanta Contemporary’s interior. The courtyard lends a stunning backdrop to small stand-up receptions, ceremony’s, seated dinners or dancing, accommodates 300 standing and 150 seated.

Weddings
Located in a historic 20,000 square foot train depot, Atlanta Contemporary is the intersection of industrial chic and spacious white-walled gallery space.
Couples can host their ceremony and reception on our Pavilion, Studio Artist Courtyard, and Lecture Hall. Outside, the the open-air Pavilion features original building architecture and plenty of space for your perfect ceremony setup, or choose the Studio Artist Courtyard, nestled within to our artists’ studios and natural flora. Indoors, the Lecture Hall offers a blank slate perfect for minimalist vibes, or add your own aesthetic with decor. Guests can also wander into the galleries and enjoy exhibitions on view.

CereMini
Elope with us! CereMinis offer an intimate, stylish wedding package with all the fixings. Host your ceremony in the Pavilion, Studio Artist Courtyard, or Lecture Hall, then transition into the reception.
We provide chairs, tables, cocktail tables, access to our wedding suite, and a champagne toast for your guests. If you have loved ones missing your special day, we also provide livestreaming of your event so they can join from home.

Capacity for CereMinis is capped at 50.

Many of the city’s leading companies have selected Atlanta Contemporary to host their events, including board meetings, photo shoots, product launches, cocktail parties, holiday parties, and exclusive executive dinners.
Corporate Sponsors have the privilege of hosting events here at the Atlanta Contemporary. Support from our Corporate Sponsors goes directly to fund our contemporary programs and exhibitions.

Atlanta Contemporary does not make its facilities available for events such as art exhibitions, press conferences, fundraisers, benefits, fashion shows, political charity events, or promotional events.
All photography is considered a photo shoot and requires permission and contract from Atlanta Contemporary, excluding visitors taking snapshots without a tripod.

We have the following preferred caterers:
If you want to use a caterer not on the list above, we will need a copy of their business license and proof of insurance. We charge a $1500 kitchen use/outside catering fee. Please be sure your caterer can comply with house rules before you sign a contract with a caterer not on our list.
Beverage Service
Atlanta Contemporary holds the on-premise liquor license. Bar packages start as a per person consumption fee. No off-site alcohol may be brought in to Atlanta Contemporary. Non-alcoholic packages are also available. Download our beverage package for pricing and details.
The Georgia State Liquor Commission regulates the sale and service of alcoholic beverages. As a licensee, Atlanta Contemporary adheres to all rules and regulations. That means we must supply and serve all beverages.
Event Rental Company
We work exclusively with Peachtree Tents & Events.
If you want to use a vendor that’s not Peachtree Tents & Events, we will need a copy of their business license and proof of insurance. We also charge a $500 outside fee.
