Articles in Orbit is a new exhibition from Mary Stanley Studio, building on the exhibition series Fashion Statement, created in 2008. Documenting the latest fads in futuristic fashion and fine art photography, this installment zeroes in on the magnetism of certain fashion choices and the emerging importance of personal style in the 21st Century. Venturing beyond mere ‘editorial’, these six artists warp, probe, and pioneer to document contemporary aesthetics that come from intense and personal self-curation. Here, accessories exist as catalysts, risk-taking is exalted, and the fashion statements hint at chaos. The messy. The fresh. The “I didn’t see that coming.”
