Ashley Teamer

Ashley Teamer was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. Her work explores complex images of black femininity throught basketball. She explores these themes through painting, collage, animation, and performance. In both her visual and curatorial work, Ashley uses the object to inform and transform the gallery space. In the past 3 years she has been an Artist-in-Residence at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, ACRE, and Ox-Bow School of Art and Artist Residency.
