Art Over Dinner
Presented by Art Farm at Serenbe
Art Over Dinner is a series of intimate gatherings with artists and the organizations that support their work.
Serenbe collaborates with the chefs at HomespunATL and local farmers to bring a seasonal meal that showcases winemakers and brewers, and invite guest artists to spark the conversation at one long farm table on the outdoor deck of The Art Farm at Serenbe. This evening will include a collaborative performance by Atlanta Opera Artist-In-Residence Jayme Alilaw and multi-disciplinary artist Masud Olufani.
Masud Ashley Olufani (MAO) is an Atlanta based actor and mixed media artist whose studio practice is rooted in the discipline of sculpture. He is a graduate of Arts High School in Newark, N.J., Morehouse College and The Savannah College of Art and Design where he earned an M.F.A. in sculpture in 2012. Masud has exhibited his work in group and solo shows in Atlanta, Georgia; New Orleans; Louisiana; Chicago, Illinois; Richmond, Virginia; Lacoste, France; and Hong Kong, China. The artist has completed residencies at The Vermont Studio Center; SCAD Alumni Artist in Residence in Savannah; The Hambidge Center for Arts and Sciences in Rabun, GA.; and Creative Currents in Portobello, Panama. Jayme is currently working on La Femme Noire, a program that highlights works by African American female composers and poets while celebrating the contributions of African American female operatic performers.
