A collective consciousness of empathy & understanding is needed now more than ever. Engaging hearts & minds on today’s most pressing social issues is the first step towards a more equitable future.

AVANTGARTE unites a community of passionate doers around contemporary art, music & conversation in order to empower positive action. By creatively engaging with the world around us we become more aware of its inequities. By deepening our knowledge of the world’s complexities we become better equipped to tackle its challenges.

Bio

Lauren Martin

A passionate believer in the power of the arts to open minds & shift perspectives, Lauren is forever committed to exploring all the world has to offer. Having spent 8 years in Los Angeles - first as a student at USC & later as a doyenne of LA’s underground music scene - Lauren got a true taste of contemporary culture & how it shapes the way we engage with the world. After recognizing the need for experiences that bring people together for a cause greater than revelry for revelry’s sake, Lauren began developing the AVANTGARTE concept while obtaining her M.A. in Business Design & Arts Leadership from SCAD Atlanta. With her compass pointed towards enriching experiences that enlighten & inspire, she aims to share her deep faith in human potential with those who are committed to making a positive impact.
