We’ve partnered with Drag Queen Story Hour with Miss Terra Cotta Sugarbaker and Atlanta Pride Committee to bring the fam together!

Head to the Atlanta Pride Committee’s Facebook page every Thursday night in May at 8pm on Facebook Live & Periscope for Dragstory with Miss Terra Cotta Sugarbaker. On Saturdays, Atlanta Contemporary will be posting the video on YouTube for posterity - go back and listen to your favorite stories again.

No need to spend the time bored or apart during this quarantine — the kids are welcome!

Atlanta Pride Committee

The Atlanta Pride Committee is Georgia’s oldest non-profit agency serving the LGBTQ community and serves as an advocate of, and resource to, gender and sexually diverse communities in Atlanta and the Southeastern United States. Our operations include the annual Atlanta Pride Festival and Parade in October as well as 60 other educational, social, and historical programs each year, as well as community reinvestment initiatives.

Drag Queen Story Hour

Drag Queen Story Hour (DQSH) is just what it sounds like—drag queens reading stories to children in libraries, schools, and bookstores. DQSH captures the imagination and play of the gender fluidity of childhood and gives kids glamorous, positive, and unabashedly queer role models. In spaces like this, kids are able to see people who defy rigid gender restrictions and imagine a world where people can present as they wish, where dress up is real.

Miss Terra Cotta Sugarbaker

Miss Terra Cotta Sugarbaker enjoys volunteer work and making the world a better place. When not in pursuit of world peace, she is also interested in world domination. She also enjoys reading to children via Drag Queen Storytime.
