Participants will be given detailed instructions as they learn to make simple non-adhesive book structures. They will learn about paper and bookbinding techniques from the around the world. The history of techniques and tools will be explored through demonstrations and examples. No experience necessary.

Michael Goodman received his MFA in photography from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. He was the Founder of Nexus Press in Atlanta and has been involved in making and publishing books for 35 years. He has taught and lectured extensively about the making of photography and artists’ books. Goodman’s works are represented in major museums around the country. He currently teaches at The Portfolio Center in Atlanta, GA.
