We want to stay connected and creative with our community during these unprecedented times.

Our first opportunity we are sharing is our Virtual Pop-Up. For the next few weeks, arts instructor Elisabeth Herrera is sharing virtual activities to keep you inspired. Follow along with each activity and share your creations with us on Instagram (@atlantacontemporary) or email support@atlantacontemporary.org and we will share it in our stories!

We look forward to seeing everyone’s creations and continuing the excellent conversations we usually have in person in a digital space.

Scavenger Hunt Activity

We miss you! Let’s get together… separately.

Great works of art evoke a response from the viewer. Some of the best works of art pose questions and make us think in ways we haven’t before. In the midst of this social distancing we need to rethink how we interact with everything; even art. In order to keep the creativity flowing through our robust artistic community we would love to continue providing thoughtful programming virtually, for you. Today we want to focus on keeping those community connections strong, because after all, creativity is inherently social.

Here's how to participate:

1. Search the Atlanta Contemporary digital archives to find examples of “community” in a diverse range of contemporary art practices. The digital archives can be found on the Atlanta Contemporary website - look at the menu on the top of the webpage for the INDEX. Click to see a catalog of exhibitions from 2008 to current.

2. Complete the scavenger hunt chart below!

3. Share: create community through sharing your findings on social media with the tag #ACMAKES
