Carolina Casusol (b. Lima, Peru) holds an MFA from Tulane University and a BFA from Corriente Alterna Art School, in partnership with San Marcos University, where she graduated with honors in 2011. Casusol received the Summer Merit Fellowship award from Tulane University and was a Nominated Candidate for CIFO Grands & Commissions Program in 2017. She was selected as an artist in residency for the Summer Art Program 2021 in the Bakehouse Art Complex (Miami, Fl), where now she works as a permanent artist in residency. Casusol’s recent practice explores the inevitable intersections in culture, language, and identity. Her artwork deals with historic issues of transition and displacement through various media, including installations, drawings, and photography. She has presented work in over 15 solo and group exhibitions in the United States, Peru, and Argentina. And was selected to be part of the first edition of the Immigrant Artist Biennial in NYC (2020) and recently received the Miami Artists Stipend Program award 2022. Carolina Casusol lives and works in Miami, FL.
