Curator Talk with Carlos Nunez

Special Event
Talk

Join Atlanta Contemporary for a curator talk with Carlos Nunez, Venezuelan artist, curator, and founder of Mimo Gallery in Bushwick, NY. Nunez will discuss the exhibitions he curated currently on view—1999, Trueque, Draft Cadence, and Lacer—each exploring power structures, cultural exchange, and the traces of geopolitical history embedded in contemporary life.

Through these shows, Nunez examines how artists navigate identity, material memory, and invisible systems of control across the Americas. Learn about his curatorial approach, his interest in non-verbal communication, and how Mimo Gallery supports experimental voices in unconventional spaces.

A Q&A will follow the talk. Free and open to all.
